The Work | Weight Loss | Ab Strength |Weight Loss I am very frustrated that life has us all in a frenzy most of the time. But, that being said, it is still our responsibility to respect our bodies and our health enough to take care of this vehicle that carries us through life.
I don't care about weight, and inches, I care about everyday life. What you do everyday, will determine whether you lose weight or not. Physics will have it, all barring some medical conditions, if you move, you win weight loss, along with clearer complexion, muscles to hold up your spine, and more ENERGY!
I stumbled on to my program because I wanted to be skinny. I nearly killed myself I wanted to be skinny. I would do anything to be SKINNY! I had to find something I could stand to do everyday and that would make me skinny. That is the whole premise behind ride 4 your life!
What happened was, after nearly a breakdown, (trying to get skinny), it no longer became about being skinny, and it was about saving my life. My psyche, my spirit, my tired, abused body. What had I done for weight loss?
Now, it's about being strong. I am so happy about what my body can do, the independence I have to run on the beach, carry my own stuff, climb and hike in Costa Rica, recover from whether it be jet lag, a cold, or an injury. To bring me from place to place at the pace I want to, and not compromised because I'm not in shape.
We are going to age, and none of us are getting out of this alive. However, I want to do it with grace. I want to support my body, keep it functioning efficiently, maintain my immune and digestive systems, metabolism and movement. I am so grateful for what it does day in and day out, by default, I am thin.
Listen; I want to wipe my own butt for as long as possible. I am serious, this is a serious issue. Think about it. What we think of as an inconvenience, like exercise, cannot compare to how inconvenient going to the doctors six times in a week would be, being poked and prodded, losing our hair, or worse cut open and cut up. We give up our mobility, (power). We say we'll get to it tomorrow. We need the energy now to maintain our busy schedules, have healthy relationships, and make good choices.
So this is how it works. Everyday, without option, without dialogue, discussion or distraction, you will ride the bike for 10 minutes. I don't care if you do two minutes, get back on later and do another 2 and another 2 till it adds up to 10 minutes. You can do 5 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon, early eve I don't care.
You need music near your bike. You need a journal near your bike with an attached pen so you can log your minutes.

Yes, if you have to get out of bed, to do your 10 you must. It's a contract. It's not a punishment. You are not a bad person. This is all part of the plan. It's not about losing weight or your mind! It's about you, and who you are LIGHTER. Not just in pounds, but also in the way you think, react, behave, this is your life school. You will be dealing with these parts of yourself for the rest of your life, they are part of you, so best we have a healthy relationship with them. They become manageable. With some attention, a lot of action, better food choices, we are going to redirect your energy and reprogram that brain so you can live your life to the fullest. This is about and for you.
That's all it's about. Make the choice to take your life into your own hands and start the ride. The weight will come off.
